Scones From the Dark Ages

Ingredients:

3 C. high grade flour
10 oz. butter
4 ½ tsp. baking powder

1 C. milk
¼ tsp. salt

Preparation:

Sift dry ingredients; rub in butter and mix to a soft dough with milk. Knead on lightly floured board; roll out. Cut; place on lightly greased and floured tray and bake in a hot oven at 450°F. for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

To this basic recipe, you can add sugar, fruit, cheese, or whatever sounds good to your taste

buds.

Here's recipe for Bacon Cheese Scones I have listed at Triond. You'll be helping Lady Gatekeep an awful lot if you visited her recipes, photographs and other articles over there. By the way, if you have recipes or photographs you might want to upload them at Triond and pick up a little bit of cash at the end of the month. It's quite simple and fun. See you there then.
