Thursday Thirteen Ed # 14



Thirteen Rules We Are Breaking In Church This Week


1. We brought a ton of sand into the sanctuary

2. Lit tiki torches in the middle of the sanctuary

3. Food and coffee in the library and sound booth

4. Barbecuing hot dogs inside

5. Kids jumping on chairs

6. Beach Boys music (ugh)

7. Wearing our bathing suits

8. 200 kids, no parents

9. palm trees on the sand

10. Running (wet) inside sanctuary

11. Teens running power point (it takes 4 of them)

12. Food Fights (actually throwing marshmallows to kids, nobody was hurt)

13. We can't find our pastor

Oh my! You've got to have an awesome church family to be able to do all that. :o) Praying you all have a blessed VBS week, that you all feel God's presence, and that lives be changed.

What fun...sounds like a kid haven. If the kids missed having a good time then it was entirely their fault.

The last church I attended had a pastor who wore jeans and a t-shirt...and the service was more meaningful than all the Catholic pomp and circumstance I grew up with.

And tonight I took my kids to Golden Corral for dinner and guess what? If you bring your church bulletin, you get a discount!
