Single Moms and Money

So I've seen an Instant Payday Loan Company pop up here and there. I've never used one but I sometimes wonder how it works. Feedback anyone? I don't want to sound desperate but wow, sometimes a girl needs a paycheck before pay day actually comes around.

Don't do it! It's a never-ending cycle and you won't be able to get out of it. Those places prey on the people who can least afford it. If you cannot afford to make it until your next payday, then look at the things in your life you can cut out (cable, phone extras, Internet, subscribtions, Starbucks) and think about getting a second or third job. Do anything other than a payday loan.

I fully agree with crissy! Read the ad! You can't be that dense, can you?

okay, okay, no need to call me dense. I'm staying away. Och, the emotion of it all.

Having been in situations where this would make sense, I'd say it's not a matter of being dense at all. It's a matter of desperation.

If there are things such as cable, phone extras, internet and Starbucks, then yeah, avoid it like the plague. But, if the things needed are food, rent, electricity, then a person should do what they have to do.

It can indeed become a never ending cycle, if the problem is a regular overextended budget full of luxuries. Though, when an emergency hits, it can be a salvation.

Personally, I think this is precisely an area a church community should help out. If a person is so in need of a small loan to help out, then their community should hand it out without interest to be paid back when the check comes.

Most offensive, to me, are people who disdain giving help and disdain the sorts of help a person goes to when no other help presents itself.

O Paddy, I sure have missed you. Such a friend.

I feel bad going to my church family because, honestly, they have helped in the past with food and all that.

You know what though, this girl's gonna get back on her feet. If only this writing gig would pay us. Thanks Paddy.

btw, nice picture.
