The Gatekeeper's Bible Series: A Study In Proverbs

She thinks there's a chance that her friends who don't read the Bible have actually read verses of Proverbs and other Books but didn't know it.

Proverbs 1:7 . . . Where Knowledge Begins! "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."

So then, if the beginning of knowledge starts with God, how many knowledgeable people really exist? It's just a question the Gatekeeper asks. Respect God, that's simple, and you'll receive knowledge.  No one wants to be a fool.

Proverbs 1:8 . . . If parents have been that good and wise example . . . "Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching." Lady Gatekeeper is very fond of the latter part of this verse.

Proverbs 1:9 . . . "Indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head and ornaments about your neck." (NASB)

A Snippet From the EasyEnglish Commentary:
In Solomon’s time, both parents educated their children. It is good when children can learn from both parents. We should listen to wisdom. Wisdom is beautiful, and it is valuable. To possess it is like a crown on the head. Or, it is like a gold chain round the neck. To obtain wisdom, we must study. And we need discipline. We cannot become wise quickly. But wisdom will improve our lives.

Ooooh... I like Proverbs 1:7 :)

Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

Believe those words and surf on over to http://www.hybridhondas.com. Click on a link or two. It costs nothing but it sure will help a fellow brother out so he can continue helping others.

Spread the word to other brothers and sisters. Be blessed.
