Out of the Fire into the Smoke
Before fire season has even started, Southern Cal was thrown into the flames in four different areas. We happen to live 9 miles away from the Hemet one to the right of us, and 30 minutes away from the Idyllwild forest fire to the left of us.
We needed over 325 firefighters to get these under control and they did a most outstanding job! It got pretty close to us, like about 200 feet or so (it was a spark jumping down the mountain), which was doused with that red fire retardant stuff.
We shall continue to pray for all to go well in La Canada/Flintridge. That fire is still burning.
