Still Job Hunting

Ah yes, while she is pursuing her dream of actually becoming a published writer the Gatekeeper is in need of a job. Another one that is . . . she is rather tired of cleaning other gentlemen's castles and manors. Plus the price of gas puts a mighty big dent into that paycheck.

In any case, it looks like Kaiser is hiring. It is a last resort, of course, since the journey there would take around an hour if traffic is co-operating. That would be a big if.

In the meantime Lady Gatekeep is working furiously online for a few extra dollars and it has kept food on the table and bills paid. Clixsense has been a great source of cash. Not a gold mine but enough for groceries. It would be nice if friends and family signed up with this program. I believe for every new affiliate she would make $2. Sweet.

Also her mama's cook book, "Come and Dine" has all of a sudden taken off again. We are selling at least five a week. Don't laugh, it's about $25 to $50. It's all good, the Gatekeeper says. You must come and take a look at least.

At any rate, it seems that the housing bug has flown into the desert and people are losing their homes. Neighbor to our right had one night to vacate the premises. When we woke, they were gone. Sadness. Neighbor to our left might soon be gone if they don't put a muzzle on their little doggies. We were afraid they were killing each other and their very young child. Scary! The barking and biting continues. Authorities must now be called.

Our cozy castle now has three gazebos in the garden, apple trees and pomegranite apples are blooming. The grapes are cascading and the flowers are making me sneeze, cough, tear up, swell up etc. Ah, it's a wonderful day in the neighborhood.

O, by the way, just in case the Gatekeeper has not informed you before. Her manuscript won third prize at the AV Writers Conference. THIRD!!?? Well, it was a little humbling but awesome nonetheless. Groceries and gas for a month with her winnings.

Lastly, we are sort of in the middle of shooting young Lord Layne's music video, or at least drum solo vid, and will have the link up soon. Anyone interested may watch at their own risk.

One more thing before we leave this day, Lady Gatekeeper rests on these words in Jeremiah regarding (for us as it was for the exiles of Jerusalem): "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

We hope you will join Princess Sarah and Lady Gatekeeper at Clixsense.
