A Sweet Jungle Romance

Mom and Dad, post WWII. Both survived 6 horrific years in a POW camp on the island of Java. Eventually, a sweet romance blossomed as their paths crossed in the jungles of New Guinea. This February they celebrated 49 years of marriage. Congrats, Mom and Dad, may the Lord shower you with even more blessings.

Hi MsLovely, it's so not fair, I know. That's the way PPP has set it up. They want newbies. I suggested we should be able to review each other's posts and get paid for it. Sounds like a good program to me, don't you think?

I thought the same as JC - I thought it was from an old movie. Lovely!

Wow, that is a dynamite photo. It looks like an ad or something. I'm sure this means a lot to you. My Dad died years ago, but Mom is still in Louisiana where I grew up. This past Christmas, when I visited her, I saw an old photo of my Mom and Dad kissing. I had never seen the photo, they were recently married in it and it is a wonderful photo. It blessed me to see them that way.

I'm visiting from the photography carnival.

I'm feeling so sentimental and sappy today and am just loving these comments. And JAM I also found a picture of my mom and dad kissing. It made me cry. Hope it's all good for you.

Janey, thanks once again, for making me feel special. You're awesome.
