Christians & Muslims in The Netherlands

I must say that my childhood memories of The Netherlands are quite pleasant. The most unpleasant moment occurred when I fell through the ice of a not-so-frozen pond. You know, someone should have posted a sign there. Maybe I should write a short story on that. Ach, another Piece of My Life. We went to church every Sunday(Wednesday and Friday) never really aware of any problems between Christians and other faiths. They even flew the flag on my birthday in January. Of course, the Queen's birthday being the same as mine had nothing to do with that.

Now it seems that The Dutch government is on the verge of collapse . . . again. Or am I completely missing the mark here? Okay, let me see . . . the center-right government collapsed (this must have happened before June 30 cause the Queen was trying to figure this out in her "chambers" on thatvery day), over some immigration row (not quite sure what that means) which will impact Christian converts trying to seek refuge in the Netherlands. Christians seeking refuge!!!! Why isn't that all over the news . . . anywhere.

I wonder why Christian converts would seek refuge in the Netherlands, of all places. It's pretty messy over there with their liberal views of life, is it not?

Anyway it all sounds pretty scary--a government collapse and now elections will be held this September. Mmmmm. And . . . how will this effect that Uero dollar thing?

So, all is not well with the world. No surprise there.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

Here's the article from the Christian Daily News.
